My name is Olivia and I come from United States. Completing my 6‑week intensive Trinity CertTESOL at TEFL in Italy in Rome was truly a life‑changing adventure. The program blended online teaching methodologies with in‑classroom practice, taught to the standards of the British Council and accredited by Trinity College London. It was everything I knew I wanted in a high quality TEFL course but didn’t know existed.

From the very first day, the trainers set an inspiring standard. I’ll never forget being taught an entirely new language without a single word of English. It was an unforgettable demonstration of how powerful immersive teaching can be. That moment reshaped how I understood language learning and gave me tools I now carry into my own teacher development, especially when helping ESL students with pronunciation and natural speech.
Teaching abroad was something I had dreamed about for years. I researched programs, watched way too many YouTube videos, signed up for blogs, emails and updates, but never felt confident enough to take the leap. Finally, the opportunity came at the end of my spring semester, in the Eternal City, a place I had wanted to explore for years. The location of TEFL in Italy couldn’t have been more convenient, right off the main subway line at Termini station. It made it easy to balance study, teaching practice, enjoying the Italian lifestyle, and soaking up the beauty of Rome itself.

And learning in Rome! The food, the atmosphere, the language, and the history were all such enriching parts of the journey. Being surrounded by Italian every day gave me a deeper ear for rhythm and intonation. I began to understand not only the culture but also the way people speak, which strengthened my ability to help English learners sound natural and confident.

The trainers weren’t just instructors; they became like family patient, supportive, and genuinely invested in our growth. Their encouragement helped me build confidence, creativity in lesson planning, and independence as a teacher. I also loved discovering that TEFL in Italy has a sister school, TEFL in Malaga, which speaks to the strength and international reach of their teacher training programs.

I left not only with an internationally recognized qualification but also with so much experience, a new confidence as an educator, and the joy of knowing I chose the right school. I truly believe in TEFL in Italy, Rome and recommend their programs to anyone seeking a TESOL program that combines excellent trainers, real hands‑on learning, cultural immersion, and the unforgettable experience of studying in the Eternal City, both inside and outside the classroom.
