Our careers service helps TEFL graduates find teaching work in Italy and abroad. It includes a 2-hour workshop on your CV and job applications during the course, interview tips, job-finding guidance, application support and access to our private jobs page, during the course and beyond.
The job market
Plenty of TEFL jobs in Italy
There is a big demand for English teachers in Italy. Compared to other European countries, the level of English here is quite low, so Italians need to improve their English to find a good job in Italy or abroad. Read our guide: TEFL jobs in Italy: how to start teaching English after certification.
The most important part of getting TEFL certified is finding a job when it is all over. We help you throughout the course and beyond to build a foundation for success in the TEFL job market. You can also gain work experience through our TEFL Internship, and meet the trainers on Meet the Team.
What is included
Our careers service includes
CV writing and interview preparation
During the course we run a 2-hour workshop to prepare your teaching CV and application cover letter, with information about finding employment and interview tips.
Teaching practice
You complete a minimum of 7 hours of teaching practice, 6 of them observed, which is invaluable experience when you contact employers. After the course you can also do some unobserved teaching as a qualified teacher, to add to your CV.
Trinity College London certificate
On successful completion you receive an accredited level 5 teaching certificate from Trinity College London, which gives you the upper hand when you search for a position in Italy and worldwide.
Recommendation letter and references
At the end of the course you receive an official letter of recommendation, and we act as referees for your future teaching positions.
Exclusive job offers
We are contacted regularly by local language schools with job offers for our graduates. We put you in contact with them and share the offers in our private Facebook group.
Teacher development courses
Continuing professional development matters. After your TEFL course you can specialise in Teaching Cambridge Exam Classes, Young Learners or Business English.
